Specialized Training for a Unique Industry
Drivers selected to join HET will participate in a focused, hands-on training program. This course prepares drivers for the unique demands of entertainment logistics and covers:
- Backstage language and professional conduct
- Procedures for load-in and load-out
- Proper equipment security
- Blind-side backing with radio assistance
Two Distinct Driving Roles:
Production Runs
- Single-trip moves (one-way or round-trip)
- May involve layovers
- Paid at your current mileage rate, plus stop and extra pay
- Typical length: 7–21 days
Tour Assignments
- Long-term runs: 4 weeks to 7 months.
- Most driving takes place overnight after the event.
- weekly averages salary is between $1800 to $2450.
- Yearly earning around $93,00 and up to $127,750.
What It Takes to Be Part of the HET Team
Basic Requirements:
- At least 1 year of verified driving experience within the last 3 years
- Minimum of 6 months handling entertainment-related hauls
Additional Qualifications:
- Valid passport for travel to Canada (HET will cover the cost if selected and not yet obtained)
- Willingness to commit to full tour timelines (ranging from 4 weeks to 7 months)
- Adaptability — last-minute changes and bookings are standard in this industry
- Clear communication with fleet leads and operations staff
- Hazmat and flatbed endorsements preferred
- Skilled in maneuvering into tight or unconventional load-in spaces
- Team-focused mindset — capable of traveling and working well with others
- A smartphone is required for real-time updates and communication
- Professional demeanor and a clean, well-maintained vehicle
- Willingness to assist in loading and unloading production gear
- Ability to coordinate and secure cargo using bars and straps
- Some weekend availability to support production schedules
- Openness to teaming up with another driver on short hauls (up to two weeks)
